An Epic Anthology!

An Epic Anthology!

I’ve recently had two acceptances from Eerie River Publishing for their upcoming drabbles anthology of myth and legend! My Greek mythology inspired “Hera’s Revenge” and folktale inspired “The Night Mare” will feature within its pages. Though still open for submissions, the pre-order link is already up on Amazon HERE, at a great price!

“For as long as men have lived, myths and legends have permeated cultures across the globe. But for every known monster, are there creatures of lore, gods of fable, and rituals of old that have been forgotten by time?

Delve into the darkness that came before and witness over 100 short drabbles resurrect the ancient world in 100 words or less.

Featuring award-winning horror and fiction authors from around the world, we dare you to remember the fear of the unknown and to dive headfirst into the beyond.

Within these pages, the old gods have awoken and with them, chaos will reign again.”

“Don’t Eat the Witch’s Treat”

“Don’t Eat the Witch’s Treat”

“On Halloween night, if the witch you meet… whatever you do, don’t eat her treat!”

I am beyond thrilled to have my first ever children’s horror story accepted into the Creepy Stories for Children anthology by Mother Ghost’s Grimm! What makes it even better is that my sister is creating an illustration to go in the book with it!

My story “Don’t Eat the Witch’s Treat” is about a group of 10-year-old kids on Halloween night, who make a huge mistake when they decide to trick-or-treat at the witch’s house. Ooooh, spooky! 😉

I read this story to my 9 and 11 year old’s and they loved it and encouraged me to submit it. I’m glad I did!

This story was a lot of fun to write, and I love that I was able to share it with my kids, as the things I usually write are a bit too mature for them. Who knows, maybe there’s a future for me in children’s horror!

Love & Hate!

Love & Hate!

Been waiting a while, but finally heard back on the love and hate drabbles I submitted to Black Hare Press… and they made it!

My little love bite “God is Love” will appear in LOVE: Dark Drabbles #7, and my little hate nugget “Nasty Nancy” will appear in HATE: Dark Drabbles #8.

It’ll be a while before these are due for publication, so in the meantime, I may try to sneak in another drabble or two.

More Love and Hate info on the horizon! 🙂

My erotic horror drabble “No Touching” is now available! Pressed between the pages of this sexy/dark anthology by Things in the Well, it’s in good company with an exciting array of new and established writers alike. These 100 word “quickies” and 200 word “one night stands” are a must-have read for anyone who likes a good blend of sex and horror.

This was my first attempt at writing erotic horror, so you can imagine my PLEASURE at receiving the acceptance for this anthology. What’s more, my name is included on the back cover! I’ve had my name on several book covers as editor, but this is the first time it’s been on a cover as author!

“An international anthology of dark erotic drabbles (100 words) and double drabbles (200 words). Includes the novella ‘Dolls’ by the UK’s Ramsey Campbell and other ‘extras’ including a couple of longer stories and some inter-related drabbles, plus some dark erotic illustrations! Definitely adult themed, not suitable for children! With illustrations and other extras including an article ‘On Sex and Horror’ and includes 10 drabbles/doubles by Steve Dillon, ex-President of the Australian Horror Writers Association and series editor of the Things in the Well series of anthologies, as well as stories from other award-winning writers!” – Guilty Pleasures and Other Dark Delights
