Escaped Ink Acceptance

Escaped Ink Acceptance

Happy to announce that my flash fiction piece “Feeding the Crows” has been accepted for publication by Escaped Ink! Not only did the editor enjoy my story, but she gave me some really great positive feedback, as well. She said it was a story too good to pass up!

“Feeding the Crows” will be published in Escaped Ink’s debut anthology “Tall Tales & Short Stories” coming out soon. I’m really excited for the opportunity to be a part of their first book, and look forward to submitting more to them in the future!

Getting my feet wet in the hot tub of erotic horror

Getting my feet wet in the hot tub of erotic horror

In my quest to continue honing my drabble writing skills (and because they’re just a lot of fun to write!) I went looking for publishers calling for drabble submissions. In my search, I stumbled upon something a little different than what I’m used to writing and submitting for: erotic horror.

I’ve written erotic fiction in the past, mostly for fun, not with any real goal of having it published, so this was different. AND only 100 words, so it needed to have both erotic and horror elements and somehow, it succeeded! Things in the Well accepted my tiny sexy-scary tale for their upcoming anthology “Guilty Pleasures and Other Dark Delights” and I couldn’t be happier! This submission is still currently open, more information can be found HERE.

Now… I wonder what other naughty little horrors I can come up with? 😉

Apocalypse Acceptances

Apocalypse Acceptances

Submissions to Apocalypse, Black Hare Press’ sixth dark drabble anthology, is now closed! I submitted three tiny tales and had two accepted, “Mouths to Feed” and “The Thirst”. My third attempt, “Lamenting the Future” didn’t make the cut, but I’m still really happy to have two of my pieces feature within.

This anthology is set to release November 19th, in print and digital formats. I’m excited to add this to my other Black Hare Press publications within the dark drabbles series, and I can’t wait to find out what the next dark drabble theme will be!

A Nervous Poet

A Nervous Poet

Tonight, I submitted some of my poetry to Dragon Soul Press’ “Organic Ink Volume 2” anthology. I’m nervous because it’s the first time I’ve submitted poetry. EVER. I have no idea if it’s even the kind of poetry they’re looking for. They might hate it, think it’s too dumb or silly, not take it seriously. I don’t really know all the “rules” to poetry or the different “types” of poetry. I just kind of write it how I feel it.

The deadline isn’t even until September 30th, so it will probably be quite a while before I hear anything back. Plenty of time to worry about it haha

Anyway, here’s the cover and I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
